Registration is Required and Space is Limited!
Programs by Age/ Grade
Pre-registration is required for High Holiday youth programs and babysitting. Registrations are on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited to ensure the safety of our students.
The September 27th deadline for registration has passed. The waitlist is now closed.
Please stop by the check in table on the day of programming to see if there is room.
Babysitting (18-month - 2 years): Babysitting is offered at specific times throughout holiday services.
Kids' Minyan (3 years - 4th Grade): Each day, children will engage in age-appropriate activities, songs, and play centered around the holidays. Children will be divided into separate classes by grade level. Snack will be provided. Groups of minyanim will join Auntie A for a special High Holiday ruach service.
Minyan and Moadon (5th - 7th Grade): Children will experience a combination of discussion and activities based on holiday themes. Snack will be provided.
Madrichim (8th - 12th grade): Madrichim work with teachers and adult service leaders to bring the best education and programming to children. Please fill out the separate application HERE.
Sensory Friendly Family Service; October 3, 5:15 pm (All ages): Rosh Hashanah services for kids and families can get chaotic - we get it! Join Cantor Labovitz in the chapel for a low-stimulation, sensory-friendly Rosh Hashanah service, appropriate for children and adults of all ages and stages. Registration is encouraged but not required. Register HERE.

Do non-members also have to fill out a youth program registration form in addition to the seat request form?
To register for youth programming, you must have a valid Ohr Kodesh account. If you are not affiliated with Ohr Kodesh and would like to bring your child to youth programming, please contact Melanie Winick.
My child doesn’t want to attend youth programming, what are my options?
Children are welcome to join their parents in the main services. Children are not allowed to wander the building or playground unsupervised. 8th-12th graders are welcome to sign up for our madrichim program, which allows them to assist in classrooms after they have completed their orientation and child safety training. 5th-7th graders should not expect to assist in the classrooms during youth programs.
My child is in 8th-12th grade, what are their options?
Your child is welcome to join you in the main service. They are also welcome to become a madrich and assist in the classrooms during services. If you have any further questions, please contact Meirav Steinlauf.
How will check-in work?
There will be a check-in table by the synagogue's side entrance. Upon arrival, you will go there to check-in your child(ren) and receive name tags for your children. The name tags are your child’s ticket to enter the classrooms. Check- in is only available during the times listed on the schedule (see above).
Will you be serving food?
Nut-free snacks will be served to all age groups during all sessions of youth programming. For programs longer than 2 hours, two snacks will be provided. If you would like your child to receive an additional snack, you are welcome to pack them a non perishable and nut-free dairy or pareve treat. We are not serving a meal. If your child has allergies, please include that information on the registration form. Allergy information will be shared with the teacher.
What happens if I don’t register in time?
If you miss the deadline to register for Youth Programs or Babysitting, a separate waitlist will open in place of the regular registration form. Please complete the Waitlist Registration. While class sizes are limited for the safety of our children, we will do our best to accommodate all children on the waitlist. You will be notified if space becomes available. If you have not been notifed beforehand, please stop by the check in table on the day of to see if spots are available.
What does programming look like?
Morning programming will include teacher-led programming such as age appropriate stories, discussions, and activities, and an hour musical service with Auntie A in the social hall, complete with snacks.
What should my child wear?
While these are indeed the days of awe, children will be playing on the playground and require clothes that allow them to be comfortable. Please remember to send sweaters if it is a chilly day.
Diapers
If your child needs a diaper change, a staff member will come find a parent or guardian. Staff are not expected to change diapers.
Important
If your child is unable to participate in the program appropriately, a parent or guardian will need to pick up the child.
