Fast of 17th of Tammuz

4:14 AM - 9:12 PMThe fast day of Shiv’ah Asar B’Tammuz (the 17th of Tammuz) commemorates calamities in Jewish history, according to Mishnah (Ta’anit chapter 4). Shiv’ah-Asar B’Tammuz, is a dawn to nightfall fast. In years when the 17th of Tammuz coincides with Shabbat, the observance is pushed to Sunday.
