Ohr Kodesh Donation Funds
- GENERAL FUND – The fund is used to supplement the operating income of the congregation. Gifts are allocated wherever there is the most need.
- Alvin Browdy Religious School Fund - Principal and income may be used to support programs, materials and equipment for the Ohr Kodesh Religious School.
- Cantor's Discretionary Fund – Principal and income may be used for charitable and music-related purposes within and outside the congregation at the Cantor’s discretion.
- Capital Building Fund/Project Dror - Fund may be used for major capital improvements (not maintenance) and repayment of building mortgage.
- Chesed Fund – Principal and income may be used to support programs and activities of the Chesed Committee.
- Chevra Kadisha Fund – Principal and income may be used to support programs and activities of the Funeral Practices Committee.
- Daniel and Clara Gordon Memorial Adult Education Fund – Principal and income may be used to support the congregation’s adult-education-related programs and activities.
- Early Childhood Center Fund – Principal and income may be used to support programs, materials and equipment for the Early Childhood Center.
- Giving Circles - Giving Circles Members are a special group of Ohr Kodesh’s donors whose high-level gifts provide the backbone for infrastructure and programming. Additional Info on OKC Giving Circles.
- Hannah Burke Kiddush Fund - Principal and income may be used to help provide for the cost of weekly congregational Shabbat Kiddush.
- Israel Solidarity Fund – Principal and income may be used to support activities of the Israel Solidarity Committee and to make donations to charitable projects and programs in Israel.
- Kol Nidre Appeal - To help enable Ohr Kodesh Congregation to continue its ongoing efforts to advance the principles of Torah and Judaism.
- Magazine Charitable Trust – Income is used for charitable causes both within and outside the congregation at the discretion of members of the Magazine family.
- Ohr Kodesh Endowment Fund – Income supports the religious, educational, cultural, social and philanthropic activities of the congregation; frequently used for new and innovative projects and programs.
- Rabbi's Discretionary Fund – Principal and income may be used for charitable purposes within and outside the congregation at the Rabbi’s discretion.
- Resettlement Project - Fundraising initiative to support the refugee family that the Congregation has pledged to support.
- Salzberg Family Library Endowment Fund – Income supports improvement and enhancement of the Congregation’s Library.
- Staren-Davis Early Childhood Scholarship Fund – Income provides need-based scholarships for children in the Early Childhood Center.
- Thelma & Jack Leonard Summer Scholarship Fund – Income provides stipends to youth attending Judaic-content summer camp programs, regardless of need.
- Youth Activities Fund – Principal and interest may be used to support the congregation’s Youth and Family Programs and Activities.
