Will you be in 8th – 12th grade in fall 2025? We want you to be a part of our Madrichim program for the 2025-2026 school year!
Madrichim work with teachers and service leaders to bring the best religious school education and youth programming to children ages preschool to 7th grade. Madrichim build leadership skills, learn how to plan activities, and build connections within the community while serving as role models, teachers, and friends. When you fill out the application, specify which programs you would like to work as well as what age children you prefer to work with: Shabbat Morning Programs- Saturdays 9:30am-12:00pm
Minyan and Moadon (grades 3 and up), Mini Minyan/Torah Tots (grades K-2), Babysitting
Alvin Browdy Religious School (ABRS)- you can work for one or both weekdays
Sunday mornings (9:00am-12:00pm) and/or Wednesday afternoons (4:00-6:15pm)
High Holidays- you can work for some or all holidays
Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Shmini Atzeret, Simchat Torah
All madrichim are welcome to receive community service hours for their work at Ohr Kodesh. Please check with your school to ensure that this will fulfill their community service requirements. Students can request to be paid if they are 14 years or older. Madrichim will be paid $12.75/hr and madrichim who complete the special needs training will receive up to $15/hr. All new and returning madrichim must attend ONE orientation training and regularly scheduled training sessions during the year. You will be paid or receive SSL hours for each training session. You will not be able to work if you do not attend a minimum number of training sessions. We will share the next orientation and training dates soon. All madrichim and their parents will receive regular email communication about training, scheduling, and check-ins. Please be sure to check your emails regularly!
