Thursday, July 25, 2024 • 19 Tammuz 5784
11:30 AM - 1:00 PMSmall Side of Social HallBack again with his annual case-by-case summation of Supreme Court activity this past year, HAZAK welcomes Art Spitzer.
Bring your lunch, and HAZAK will provide coffee, tea, and dessert. As we look back at the Court and track its decisions and issues, Art provides his insight and perspectives. How will the Supreme Court rule on presidential immunity? Are there any signs of the court managing ethical issues? What cases will impact specifically the Jewish community?
Arthur B. Spitzer is a long time OKC member and legal co-director of the ACLU of the District of Columbia. His work has spanned the range of ACLU issues, including freedom of speech and religion, police misconduct, national security, due process, privacy, prisoners’ rights, the rights of government employees, freedom of information, discrimination based on race, sex, religion, sexual orientation and gender preference, and more. There will be a Zoom link for those unable to join in person. But we hope to see you at this annual compelling session.
