The text of the Haggadah is a great frame for a meaningful Seder, but only if we know how to navigate it. We will find the highlights, see the organizing structure, and look at what the Haggadah thinks are the core lessons of this ritual. 

Dayenu and Psalm 78: Glimpsing the true purpose of telling the Pesach story

Dayeinu is the most misunderstood text in the Haggadah. We will look at its origins, rethink its meaning, and see why its message might speak to us more deeply than ever this year. 

Rabbi Joshua Cahan, a Tefilah educator and author in New York City, compiled and edited the Yedid Nefesh Bencher and introduced the new Yedid Nefesh Haggadah last Spring. He spent 11 years teaching Talmud and Tefilah at the Leffell School, and was the founder and director of the Northwoods Kollel at Camp Ramah in Wisconsin. He holds a Rabbinic Ordination and a Ph.D. in Talmud from the Jewish Theological Seminary.
