Sunday, September 8, 2024 • 5 Elul 5784
5:00 PM - 6:30 PMChapelBat Kol, OKC's Women's Group, is co-sponsoring this exploration of intimate partner violence (IPV) in the Jewish community with the Jewish Coalition Against Domestic Violence (JCADA). Participants explore the dynamics of IPV, understand the different types of abuse, and identify ways power and control show up in these relationships. This workshop will also dive into the elements of spiritual abuse and examine how IPV manifests in the Jewish community specifically.
The discussion will address actions participants can take to support JCADA’s life-saving work. This event is open to and recommended for all individuals age 13 and older.
A light dinner will be served in the lobby after the program. Please register below by September 4. After dinner, we encourage you to join us for evening minyan in the Chapel.
Showing up is powerful. It reminds us that we are not alone. This is the year to show up and keep showing up: in the darkness and the light, for each other, for Ohr Kodesh, for Israel, for the Jewish people, and for our world.
