Please join us for a special concert by the incredibly talented Joey Weisenberg, founder and director of Hadar's Rising Song Institute. This is the third in a series of events to honor and celebrate Rabbi Lyle Fishman and Debby Rosenman’s upcoming retirement.

The virtual (Zoom) program will feature a family-friendly study session with an open conversation between Joey Weisenberg and Rabbi Fishman, in conversation about the Torah of Music. Joey will also share some of his favorite melodies and musical meditations.   

Joey Weisenberg is the author of Building Singing Communities and The Torah of Music, winner of a 2017 National Jewish Book Award. A multi-instrumentalist, and devoted student and teacher of traditional Jewish melodies, Joey also composes new niggunim (wordless melodies) that have moved and inspired Jews around the world. His seventh album with the Hadar Ensemble, Songs of Ascent, was put out by Rising Song Records in 2019. You can check out Joey’s music on iTunes, YouTube, and BandCamp.
