Interfaith Works Shelter at Coffield Center
Stepping Up to Help the Hungry
Interfaith Works Emergency Shelter at Coffield Community Center (right near the synagogue) is in great need of volunteers to help provide dinner for their guests. Ohr Kodesh has committed to provide dinner on the first two Sundays of each month.
We are looking for five volunteers (or volunteer families) per week, and each volunteer would prepare or order dinner for 10 guests. This is a family-friendly, COVID-safe way to help the hungry members of our community and it can be very easy!
Just prepare an entree (e.g., baked ziti, vegetarian chili, burgers, baked chicken or fish, a taco bar, etc.), a salad or vegetable, and a dessert (e.g., fruit, ice cream, cookies). Food is to be delivered by 4:30PM on Sunday and contact-free drop-off is available. Additional Instructions and Guidelines are HERE. You are also welcome to order food to be delivered to the Shelter.
SIGN UP HERE! We are hoping to make this an ongoing volunteer activity, so we encourage volunteers to pick two slots during the course of the year.
Have questions? Please contact Simma Kupchan. Thank you very much for your support and service.
