Join your voice to the chorus as we share stories and melodies of the High Holy Day season, from our tradition and from wider international Jewish traditions as well.

For many centuries, Jews have come together to sing in the community. Rebbe Nachman of Breslov would say, “We have two ears and one mouth so we can listen twice as much as we talk.”

Participating in a Niggun Circle is an exercise in listening and finding our place in aural and physical community. Because a niggun has no words but is merely chanted using syllables, it is a beautifully accessible way in for anyone of any Jewish age, stage, and experience. Repetitive melodies embellished with spontaneous harmonies and impromptu percussion make this non-performative music accessible to all.
