Ark Time:  The past year our synagogue has been mostly virtual. Now we are returning; we are back in our beautiful, sacred, space. Hineini (Here I am). We are together. We are here.

As we prepare for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, we invite you to have some sacred time in front of the Aron Kodesh (Ark where Torahs are kept). We will also use this occasion to create intentionality and produce a final art piece which will remain on display in the synagogue as we carry out our year of learning. Look for the easel, materials, and collection box near the bimah! For questions contact Natasha Berman.

12:30 PM

Community Picnic: featuring caramel apples and a Shofar 101 session with Rabbi Helfand.  Dust off your shofar and bring it along with your picnic blanket.  We will learn about the shofar and why we use it during the High Holidays.  Bring your own lunch and we provide drinks and CARAMEL APPLES!  Registration Necessary - ONLY - for those who want a Caramel Apple!  Register Below.

Popsicle Stick Decoration Station:  Using popsicle sticks, decorate them and write on them your thoughts about being together at Ohr Kodesh!  If you do not have time to decorate just pick up a bag to go!  They will all be assembled as one into one art installation representing our excitement about returning to our synagogue building!  Questions?  Contact Shana Zucker.

Beekeeper Presentation and Honey Tasting:  A local beekeeper will explain how honey is made and there will be an opportunity to taste honey as we prepare for a sweet New Year.  Questions? Contact Tova Geller.
